As a Reading Champion you are encouraged to set up Reading Clubs that happen outside of school time.

  2. Why is it a good idea to have a reading club?
  3. What support do you need to start a reading club and why?
  4. How often should your reading club meet and why?
  5. Who will you recruit as volunteers and why?
  6. How are you going to make sure that children, and their parents, know about the club?
  7. How many members will the club have and why?
  8. Where will you hold reading club sessions and why?
  9. What is the best day and time for these sessions and why?
  10. What will your club be called and why?

  4. The resources that you have available for the reading club.
  5. The length of time you have for each session
  6. The activities that will suit your learners best.
