How can you help with Maths in the classroom?
Maths is all about patterns, symbols, shapes, etc.
- Make meaning of the maths knowledge FIRST and understand this well before you can transfer the knowledge to the learner, otherwise you are deluding the whole process.
- All learners have the ability to learn. Help to make the learning experience rich and lasting.
- Support with the purposeful intent to impact learning. Remember, there is neither magic nor tricks in teaching Maths.
- Good practice at Maths will build confidence.
