Talk about: C for Curiosity
It’s Working Wednesday! 🎉 Today, from 4 to 5 pm, we’re hosting a live discussion all about Curiosity. Let’s get those gears turning and delve into the fascinating world of education!
To kick things off, here is an excerpt from “Teaching for Learning in a Fast-Changing World,” edited by Professor Sarah Gravet of the University of Johannesburg.
This is from the chapter on Teaching to Develop an Entrepreneurial Mindset, 📚 here’s a glimpse:
We live in a fast-changing world called VUCA, which stands for volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. This world reflects a society that constantly innovates. Technologies like virtual reality, AI, robotics, and advanced communication systems make some things outdated quickly, creating new demands and skills for jobs.
The goal of education is to prepare students to succeed in the VUCA world. To do this, we need new ways of thinking and teaching. Students must develop skills to adapt to change and solve problems creatively. This means we value innovators, creative thinkers, and entrepreneurs.
And guess what? To shape learners into fantastic innovators and entrepreneurs, we need to fuel their curiosity! 🔥 So, what do you think? What stands out the most to you?
Join us at 4 pm in our live chat right here in the comments to keep the conversation going!
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
