# Which subjects are covered?

The bursary supports students who study and plan to teach in **priority subjects**, such as:

**Foundation Phase (Grades 1–3)**

- Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, Siswati, Tshivenda, Xitsonga
- Braille, South African Sign Language (SASL)
- Neurodevelopmental Needs, Remedial Teaching

**Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–6)**

- Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, Siswati, Tshivenda, Xitsonga
- Mathematics, Natural Sciences & Technology
- Braille, SASLS, Neurodevelopment, Remedial Teaching

**Senior and FET Phase (Grades 7–12)**

- Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, Siswati, Tshivenda, Xitsonga
- Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Agricultural Technology, Marine Sciences/Maritime Studies, Nautical Science
- Information Technology, Technology, Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Technology, Computer Applications Technology, Technical Mathematics & Sciences, Engineering Graphics and Design
- Braille, SASLS, Neurodevelopment, Remedial Teaching

**Important:**

- Senior/FET students must take at least **two FET subjects**, or one FET and one Senior Phase subject.
